The pressure dropcauses the evaporating temperature of the refrigerant to fall below that of theevaporator. Thus, for example, the refrigerant can be boiled off by anevaporator temperature of -18 ℃because the pressure drop brings theevaporating temperature of the refrigerant down to say -24℃.
